Group Solo Travel in Mexico

Travel solo as part of a group tour to Mexico

Why travel solo to Mexico?

Mexico is known for mezcal-mixing beach bars, history-rich cities and colorful locals. By travelling solo, you’ll find there’s plenty more to be discovered too.

Fresh tacos bursting with chilli and herbs, a plate of steamed tamales, shredded beef soaked in lime juice… Mexico beckons foodies from all over the world – especially to the street markets of Oaxaca.

If it’s beaches you’re after, Mexico offers some of Central America’s best, from the pelican-roamed Pacific stretches of Baja California to the calm Caribbean coast of the Yucatán Peninsula. Whichever you pick, white-sand beaches and abundant wildlife are all part of the scene. So, what are you waiting for? Take off for an adventure then touch down for some beach time…

Top places to visit in Mexico

Baja California Sur

This Mexico hot spot was once called ‘the world’s aquarium’ thanks to its abundance of aquatic life. If you want to spend your days overlooking the Pacific Ocean, drinking cocktails by the beach and swimming amongst marine wildlife, then head to Baja.

Cancún

A tropical paradise with white sandy beaches and emerald seas, this city on the Yucatán Peninsula is a prime resort hotspot. But we recommend venturing beyond the resorts to experience the best of Cancún. Visit Nichupté Lagoon, a vast mangrove area that’s home to crocodiles, iguanas and leopard frogs, or head downtown to experience local life.

Tulum

To explore Mexico’s Mayan history, head to Tulum. This ancient port city is full of well-preserved ruins, including a castle. The nearby coastal region of Parque Nacional Tulum is where you can explore mangroves and natural limestone sinkholes known as cenotes.

Oaxaca

Regarded as the culinary capital of Mexico, this southwestern city is set amid a striking mountainscape. Sample some of the best food Mexico has to offer in its street food stalls and taste some of the nation’s finest beers in a local brewery. Head out to the Sierra Norte mountains to explore the vast natural beauty surrounding this city.
