Why travel solo to Cuba?

And Havana itself? A city of timelessness, whose time-worn architecture is best absorbed on a walking tour through the Unesco-listed Old Town, as vintage Cadillacs purr by. Or why not head out to the Trinidad, whose cobbled streets and red tiled roofs have remained unchanged since the sugar barons left in the 19th century.

While it’s true that Cuba is slowly changing, there’s still some way to go. Internet is scarce and blackouts can happen, so traveling with a group is often preferable to going it entirely solo, so your local guide can steer you through inevitable bumps in the road and you can simply sit back – and embrace the adventure
