Kate Volzer is a first-generation college student who, while working in college admissions after graduation, became fascinated by how technology might better support students. Aged 29, she co-founded and became CEO of the peer-to-peer student engagement platform Wisr – a company designed to improve educational outcomes for college students nationwide. In 2021, Wisr was acquired by EAB.

Kate is also an angel investor, and acts on the Board of Directors for the Coalition for College. When she’s not helping others with their startups, she’s probably travelling, playing with her dog, Scout, or enjoying great conversation over a glass of wine.
